Survivor's Journey to Peace, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity under the Internal Revenue Code committed to excellence, empowering survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in an effort to restore, rebuild and transform their lives through community education, awareness and advocacy on systems & policy issues. All donations made to Survivor’s Journey to Peace are 100% tax deductible.
Transitional Housing
Transitional housing provides long-term housing, up to 2 years, after the initial safety of the domestic violence victim is insured. These programs offer life skills and education classes to help with the transition to personal empowerment and permanent housing.
Education & Job Training
Help support the many programs that educate, support, and build confidence. Domestic abuse survivors face a unique set of challenges in beginning or advancing their skill sets and career after the abuse ends.
Emotional Support
Help support Survivor’s Journey to Peace in our efforts to provide one on one counseling, group therapy, and emotional support groups to victims of domestic violence. These programs enable healing, confidence building, and self empowerment.
Monetary Donations
In addition to the partner events, Survivor’s Journey to Peace accepts monetary donations. These donations make a large positive impact in the life of a domestic abuse victim. Please consider clicking our PayPal button to make a donation to aid in the recovery of one or more domestic abuse victims.
A donation of $100.00 provides:
• helpline response to five callers
• four hours of support, safety planning and advocacy for a domestic violence victims
• three hours of counseling for a children
• five hours of children’s activities so that moms can attend group counseling or vocational training
• one group vocational training workshop
• one women with legal advocacy and court accompaniment
• five hours of children’s activities so that moms can attend group counseling or vocational training
• Dating abuse presentations to three area high schools, reaching 90 students
A donation of $250.00 provides:
•helpline services for 15 callers
•seven-week financial literacy counseling program to one women
•domestic violence counseling to one child during a typical shelter stay
A donation of $500.00 provides:
•five sessions of group counseling to domestic violence victims
•five women with legal advocacy services
A donation of $1,000.00 provides:
•one week of emergency shelter, safety planning, food and counseling for a woman and her children
•fifteen weeks of group counseling to domestic violence victims
•the items needed to furnish (dishes, small appliances, bedding, towels, etc.) a 1-bedroom apartment
A donation of $3,000.00 provides:
•one year group counseling program for one woman
A donation of $7,500.00 provides:
•emergency shelter, safety planning, food and counseling to a woman and her children for a typical shelter stay
A donation of $10,000.00 provides:
• six months of counseling, advocacy services and safe living space in a transitional living facility for a mother and her children
