Kingdom Kids Computer Lab Initiative

Survivor’s Journey to Peace, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, has initiated “Kingdom Kids Computer Lab Initiative” (KKCL).
Our mission is to provide access to technology for underprivileged Ghanaian kids in order to give them educational opportunities so that they can better their own lives and the lives of their communities. The initiative plans include the development of learning and technology resource labs. The labs will support students by providing access to Internet services, computers and educational software.
We set up computer labs in orphanages and low-income schools in Ghana using both donated and new hardware. We equip the computers with free and open source software and educational content that is accessible with or without Internet access. Although the computers can be used to teach software development, the primary purpose of our computer labs is to support learning of traditional academic subjects.
